Heading to Boston was full of majestical experiences all to their own. Not only was I finally able to witness a Red Sox game first hand, but the city of Boston is really a must see for all those who love travelling.
Now this first tale starts off with arriving on a beautiful warm day in the city of Boston and walking to the heart of the city. Able to bask in the sheer energy of the city was something else. It has so much history that it just seeps from all the cobblestoned cracks as if wanting to tell a tale its self.
If you're interested in history, seafood and of course shopping then this is definitely the place for you. Also just a side note...the city is sports crazy...ya no big deal all their athletic teams win at everything...ooops forgot...the bruins play there...
The big draw for me in Boston was the Red Sox games. It was slated to watch two games...one against the Texas Rangers and one agains Canada's very own...Toronto Blue Jays. On the way to the first game there was a turrential downpour from beyond time. I mean this thing was massive, soaking everything and flooding the streets. You may have thought you were somewhere tropical by the size of the rain drops.
At first I thought the game may be cancelled, but as soon as it begun it finished up just as quick. Arriving three hours before game time I thought I'd be able to finally see proffesional batting practice...well due to the rain...ya that didn't happen. Oh well picture time :)
The game went strikenly good, as the Red Sox
beat up on the Rangers 10-zip. I was able to see Dice-K pitch for the Sox as well as David Ortiz slap a homer.
After endulging myself with the fantastic Fenway food (Fenway Frank and other such delicious baseball park only goodies) I made my way back to the hotel for some needed R and R.
Day two resulted in a trip to the Boston's hunormous science museum to see the baseball America display as well as enjoy a Duck tour (land and water...ya I guess that's a duck)
But day two was all about the Red Sox game...except for the gratuitous amounts of rain the experience was like non other. Ya the game was cancelled but sitting in the rain, chatting baseball with the fans next to me and litterally soaking in the atmosphere of the stadium I couldn't have asked for a better time.
So far that's the Boston trip and if I had any reccomendations for those wishing to travel there it would be this. Seafood...amazing, Baseball....outstanding and shopping...ya well that's good to.
Look for the next post coming soon...depicting the glorious coastal region of Nova Scotia.

Hi Andrew, Uncle Guy an I are really enjoying your blog. You have an amazing way of sharing your adventures. We feel like we are right there with you. I loved seeing the olive market. I would have enjoyed feasting on those olives with Sarah, must be a heredity thing! We loved hearing about Dachau and Vimy Ridge. The pictures are great. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It looks like you are having a great time. Try to stay away from the stalkers. Take care and keep safe. Love Aunt Bonnie & Uncle Guy
